The Evolution of Wireless
Our original Airship II delivered reference-quality wireless with ultra-low latency and broad bandwidth—designed for full-range, uncompromised transmission of both High-Level and .1/LFE signals. It’s still one of the finest wireless platforms in the world. But with Airship II, the receiver required two things that we weren’t thrilled about:

RCA cables to connect from the receiver to the subwoofer

Its own power supply and power cable
Both were functional. Neither was elegant.
What Makes Airship Direct Different
With Airship Direct, we’ve eliminated the cable clutter and made the system plug-and-play. The receiver module now connects directly into a dedicated port on the back panel of the new Serie S amplifier. That means:

No more RCA interconnects

No more receiver power supply or wall wart

No more wondering where to place a little black box
It’s a clean, intuitive solution that gets you from box to bass in minutes.
No Compromise on Performance
In terms of wireless transmission, Airship Direct performs identically to Airship II. It utilizes the same high-speed wireless protocol, pairing process, and wide bandwidth with low latency, and you’re still getting the kind of wireless that makes most wired connections blush.
But the experience—especially at setup—is dramatically improved. This is wireless the way it was meant to be: effortless and invisible.
Seamless with the New Serie S
Airship Direct will debut alongside the new Serie S subwoofers. Each model—Carbon Special Black Label, S/850, S/550, and 212 Black Label—is equipped with the necessary input to support the direct receiver connection. For those building more complex systems, like Line Arrays, Airship Direct remains perfectly at home. One transmitter can serve multiple receivers, and pairing is as quick and reliable as ever.
