Every T/x model boasts sleek, radiused designs and impeccable craftsmanship. But with the T/9x Special Edition, we’ve taken it a step further. It's the subtle details that elevates these models—the badge atop takes three days to perfect, and each solid billet aluminium foot undergoes a three-day chroming process. We meticulously layer copper, nickel, and chrome, allowing each coat a day to set before adding the next. This is the kind of attention to detail that makes REL stand out.

A REL's essence lies in its driver, and we dedicate immense care and expertise to its design and refinement. The T/9x’s driver is no exception. We've upgraded its critical center cap with carbon fibre, enhancing its stiffness for better bass articulation. By reducing its weight by 10 grams, we've achieved a faster response, and a notable 1.2 dB increase in output, making the T/9x faster, more dynamic, and just a skosh louder.

T/9x's amplifier embodies power and precision with its 300-watt Class A/B monoblock design. Using reliable mosfet designs with integrated heat sinks, these amplifiers have been the driving force behind the Serie T flagships since 2007. With nearly 90,000 units in circulation—most in daily use—we take immense pride in their performance and dependability.

The streamlined 8ms input filters ensure a seamless blend between the subwoofer and speaker. With straightforward rotary analog controls for gain, crossover, and LFE Gain, and an intuitive 0–180-degree phase switch, setting up your REL is straightforward and hassle-free. No misplaced remote controls or complicated apps—just timeless, dependable engineering.

Standby Mode switch is only included on 220V units.

Wireless

Wireless That Doesn’t Compress the Sound

At REL, we’ve developed a sterling reputation for building the finest sounding, fastest wireless systems available in the industry. We never rely upon digital compression as it results in dull, lifeless sound. Instead, we have perfected an (optional) Arrow™ wireless system so fast and dynamic we’re comfortable encouraging the use of wireless on one channel of a pair of RELs while the other channel may be connected conventionally with cable.

Can T/9x SE be integrated with other REL subwoofer series?

For stereo pairs, two of the same model is required to achieve the stereo effect but feel free to mix colors as we've seen this becoming a trend. Is the T/9x SE wireless compatible?

Yes, the T/9x SE is fully compatible with our Arrow Wireless System, which includes all the same input options found on the rear amplifier panel. Arrow delivers high-performance wireless connectivity with zero compression and ultra-low latency—ideal for clean, cable-free installations or setups where the subwoofer is positioned farther from your main system.

What size room is T/9x SE ideal for?

T/9x SE performs best in medium to large rooms, generally between 150 and 400 sq. feet. Its combination of driver size and amplifier power allows it to produce rich, room-filling bass while maintaining speed and clarity in both 2-channel and theater environments.

Can I stack T/9x SE in a line array configuration?

No, the T/9x SE is not designed for vertical line array stacking and we strongly advise against it. However, it excels when used in stereo pairs for music or REL 3D setups. For vertical stacking, consider stepping up to the HT/1510 Predator or Serie S subwoofers.

Two is more than twice as good as one

"Hi REL Folks, I picked up a T9xSE in orange a few months ago, to replace a T7x. It's a very big room. . I sent the 7 to my brother for Christmas. He was happy. I recently received my second T9xSE (in RED). So I'm doing the John Hunter thing- two colors. . The room needed it. Looks great with Fyne F501SP white speakers, sounds incredible. You're right, the stage opened up, the bass is effortless, everything is better, bigger, more solid and clear. Thanks!"

Came for the bass, stayed for the soundstage

"Very happy with the T/9x Red. Impeccable build quality, beautiful finish. My main speakers are Sonus Faber Sonetto IIIs connected to a Parasound Halo Hint 6 integrated. The T/9x Red adds more body and low end to my system, without being thumpy or tubby. But the best thing is that the soundstage (already good with the Sonetto IIIs) is noticeably wider and deeper. T/9x Red is an excellent subwoofer!!!"
