Bass Beyond Its Size
At REL every clean sheet design begins by defining and designing the best bass engine for a given application. While the long throw 6.5” is our smallest-to-date, but make no mistake it is powerful and articulate, able to fill medium-sized rooms effortlessly. Have a much larger space? Distribute them throughout for an unobtrusive spacious presentation of music and film sound.
Brains & Brawn
Right Sized Power & Control
Though Tzero MKIII is REL’s entry level, that doesn’t mean it can’t punch far above its weight class. 100 high-current watts from a NextGen Class D amp means it holds its head high and is capable of delivering many years of satisfying performance. We feature the same high-quality input filters, crossovers and limiters as our larger models. Tzero MKII includes a full REL connectivity suite, fast 8ms delay filter set and our famed High Level Input as well as a separate .1/LFE input with its own level control and a standby circuit that reliably comes alive at very low levels.
Got this sub to use in my bedroom with a PS Audio Sprout and boutique bookshelf speakers from Toby's Speakers in Fort Worth. Was amazed how much more open and detailed the speakers became after adding the sub.
I use it in a desktop system with Harbeth p3esr and the integration between subs and speakers is spot on. The illusion of added “space” and improved clarity of sound with the addition of a sub is a real effect. Btw, I found that it’s easiest to use orchestral music or solo piano when setting up the subs; different rock and pop mixes have too much variation between them to be used as standards, maybe?
Not happy that the price of the sub was reduced by $50 a few days after I bought it.
I put together a small near field monitor system to use with video editing on an iMac. I combined a pair of Tzero MK II subs with Harbeth P3ESR speakers powered by an NAD d3045 integrated amp. The subs sit on the floor under my corner desk and create a level of realism in video editing and for relaxing to just enjoy music. The Tzero subs integrate very well with the high level output of the NAD class D amp. The Harbeth speakers on ISO Acoustic stands are great near field monitors with the subs integrating seamlessly with the pace and rhythm of classic British speakers. No need to go the the larger T5i or T7i for near field use. Highly recommended.
This tiny box hides in the corner adding huge sound to our system. When carpets gave way to wooden floors bass weight tailed off. The Rel brought back the warmth and has given the whole system a lift. Everything is more forward and open. The overall sound is much bigger at low volumes. Currently wired into a Cambridge CXA81 & CXC with Ruark Sceptre standmounts. At 11 clicks on the volume, I’m scared to go higher! Can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks Rel! :)
Per il mio ambiente non troppo grande e perfetto un suono da subwoofer superiore un qualità dei materiali ottima è ottimo anche come arredamento complementi al produttore. Una cosa vorrei le istruzioni in italiano che mancano grazie.
