So Much, In So Little
Compact Power & Finesse
Tzero is built using a super stiff cabinet construction that drives the resonant frequency higher so it is more easily damped by our instrument-grade bracing. We utilized 5 full coats of lacquer, and solid aluminium feet and badging because REL owners understand quality must extend throughout a product, not just in the most obvious locations. And its diminutive scale allows it to all-but-hide among the furnishings in your home.
Bass Beyond Its Size
At REL every clean sheet design begins by defining and designing the best bass engine for a given application. While the long throw 6.5” is our smallest-to-date, but make no mistake it is powerful and articulate, able to fill medium-sized rooms effortlessly. Have a much larger space? Distribute them throughout for an unobtrusive spacious presentation of music and film sound.
Brains & Brawn
Right Sized Power & Control
Though Tzero is REL’s entry level, that doesn’t mean it can’t punch far above its weight class. 100W high current watts from a NextGen Class D amp means it holds its head high and is capable of delivering many years of satisfying performance. Includes a full REL connectivity suite, fast 8ms delay filter set and our famed High Level Input as well as a .1/LFE input.
I initially bought this Rel T/Zero subwoofer to work in conjunction with a pair of Focal XS speakers to be used with my high end computer desktop. The combination is excellent by the way and highly recommend it. I have since decided to use the subwoofer with my TV which sounds just awesome and its not a small room either. So i will be buying another to use put it with my computers sound system again. It is truly a awesome sounding subwoofer, highly adjustable and can really fine tune the sound being a very knowledgeable audiophile. No it will not rattle the room or allow you to feel the air movement but if you want something that is very musical and tuneful, it is highly recommended.
The hardest thing to get over is how much bass is coming out of a sealed 6.5” sub. People who come in my office can’t wrap their heads around it. They refuse to believe this tiny sub is shaking the floor as much as it does. Typically they think it’s the floor standing speakers until I switch off the tzero and they can hear the difference. That’s usually followed by a facial expression that is something between “I’ve been lied to my whole life about subwoofers” and “this little sub just made my day”
I’ll end up getting the 8” version because even if nobody coming into my office can tell, there’s a low end fall off in bass heavy music because the room is over 400sqft. It’s totally on me for not paying attention to the recommendations but I already have a spot picked for the tzero at home.
The Rel T/Zero is the best upgrade to my stereo system ever. For nearfield listening with monitor bookshelf type speakers it adds a sense of the depth, width and space of the original recording venue. I use the Rel with some Snell original K speakers that above 70 hz which are very tight with wonderful midrange and midbass bloom. The Rel Bass is likewise tight and musical with no boom that might be great for movies but ruins great stereo reproduction. It simply sounds like live music and for its size is unbelievable. The most anyone would need is one or two of these in their system. They are beautiful and do not take up any space. Rel T-Zero are absolutely one of the great buys in audio if you want a satisfying audiophile system.
Amazing little audio subwoofer to pair with the KEF LS50’s and a Still Audio EF84 Integrated amp. The placement directions and adjustments made it incredibly simple to set-up. This sub really shines in a small room to help fill the missing low end without coloring the sound, distorting the intended voicing of the amplifier. This incredibly small subwoofer does a great job filling in the gaps and makes the sound stage grow and provided a warmth and richness that wasn’t there before. Unlike other subwoofers this one is really hidden and like it isn’t even there. In a larger space we would have gone with a larger REL sub. But this is perfect for a small room for discriminating HiFi listening and compliments the Still Audio EL84 incredibly well.
Great little size delivers deeper bass than expected. Pairs really well with KEF LS50w's.
