So Much, In So Little
Compact Power & Finesse
Tzero is built using a super stiff cabinet construction that drives the resonant frequency higher so it is more easily damped by our instrument-grade bracing. We utilized 5 full coats of lacquer, and solid aluminium feet and badging because REL owners understand quality must extend throughout a product, not just in the most obvious locations. And its diminutive scale allows it to all-but-hide among the furnishings in your home.
Bass Beyond Its Size
At REL every clean sheet design begins by defining and designing the best bass engine for a given application. While the long throw 6.5” is our smallest-to-date, but make no mistake it is powerful and articulate, able to fill medium-sized rooms effortlessly. Have a much larger space? Distribute them throughout for an unobtrusive spacious presentation of music and film sound.
Brains & Brawn
Right Sized Power & Control
Though Tzero is REL’s entry level, that doesn’t mean it can’t punch far above its weight class. 100W high current watts from a NextGen Class D amp means it holds its head high and is capable of delivering many years of satisfying performance. Includes a full REL connectivity suite, fast 8ms delay filter set and our famed High Level Input as well as a .1/LFE input.
The Tzero is perfect for my 10'x10' home office system. That system consists of a Windows 10 PC providing lossless tracks to PS Audio Sprout 100 (via USB) and then to KEF LS50s sitting on Iso Acoustics Aperta stands set at 6 degrees. Build quality of Tzero is outstanding and REL customer service went above and beyond by contacting PS Audio on my behalf to determine the optimal connection to the Sprout. From the multiple ways to connect the Tzero, they determined it was best to connect the Sub Out on Sprout to Tzero’s low level input. At Paul McGowan’s recommendation I used Blue Jeans Subwoofer Cable and speaker wires to the KEFs. I am currently running the Tzero’s crossover point at 20 clicks (12 o’clock) and low-level input at 20 clicks (12 o’clock).
2 rel zeros, could not believe that the beautiful smooth integration of sound & quality of these little beauties. High Quality build is secondary to the fantastic sound output, absolutely stunning.
Coupled with Q Acoustics 3020i / 3010i / 3090i in front & 3010 rear driven by Denon 2600.
Works brilliantly as surround system & excessively good as Stereo output, needs tweaking to set up, but what a result 👍👍
Small and compact yet mighty sound I’m using 2 REL Tzero subs with my magnapan .7’s. The subs are great, they are compact ,have a wonderful sound, and complement my speakers perfectly I would encourage anybody to buy REL subs without hesitation.
Excellent small sub.
I paired this with my KEF LS50 speakers in a 12x12 room. It's fantastic. It rounds out the sound without overwhelming or muddling things. It's become something "you don't even know is there," but, I assure you, once added to your system, it'd be missed immediately if taken away. Easy set-up. Great purchase.
